Step 9: Test Masking Coverage

Updated on September 29, 2022

As you configure masking mappings, it is important to ensure that all the fields and the data in them is correctly masked. You can do this in a few minutes by using DataMasker’s ‘Where’ clause.

Note: If your ‘Where’ clause is blank, DataMasker will run against all the records. Depending on your data volume, this can take a long time. Hence setting Limit is important.

Here are the steps to test your mappings for masking coverage.

 1. Navigate to your DataMasker Application → Configurations → Select Sandbox UAT

2. In the Object Mapping section,

Step 1 – Click on New

Step – 2 Enable Mask Records checkbox

  1. In Filter Criteria, pass the Where condition. According to the number of objects, this condition should work on a set limit.
  1. Click on the ‘Save’ button and add fields in Object to mask particular fields. Once done, click on the ‘Data Masking’ button.
