Yes. DataMasker and Salesforce Shield solve different problems. Shield encrypts data at rest. DataMasker replaces production data with realistic substitutes in sandbox environments. They complement each other: a heavily-encrypted production org still exposes real data in sandboxes without DataMasker.

DataMasker works with Full Copy, Partial Copy, and Developer sandboxes. Processing speed is 5M records per hour, meaning a Full Copy sandbox with 99M records completes in approximately 24 hours. The masking process maintains relational integrity across related objects and supports all standard and custom field types. Formula fields, picklists, checkboxes, and lookup relationships are all preserved during masking.

You can run the product against your actual non-production data to see exactly how it masks records, handles deletions, or automates DSAR workflows. No credit card required, and you have full visibility into the product before any commitment.

Each product is priced independently at $4.99 per Salesforce user per month. You license only the products you need, no forced bundles. If you use both Sandbox DataMasker and Privacy Rights Automation, you pay $4.99 × 2 per user. Volume discounts become available at 500+ users. Standard implementation is included in the subscription, and there are no infrastructure costs since all products run natively on Salesforce.
